Can't upload avatar in .jpg format

When I try to upload avatar in .JPG i see : Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagecreatefromjpeg()
and avatar is not saved.

With avatars in .gif everythink is OK.

Hello, I just changed my avatar and it worked fine. The file that I changed to is a .JPG file. Try to upload a smaller size file... perhaps its the size.

I click UserCP, then I click Upload button under My Profile and I get the error. Perhaps this is not the right button to upload work?? Thank you for the fast reply

just had a go, now its named as a jpg but the avatar upload page says this BMP has an invalid file extention

how come if it is renamed as a jpg

BTW the pic has had some touchup work done to it

if the file originally was a .gif and you renamed as a jpg it will not work. Unless you change the file format through a image program like photoshop.
